Nancy Kate has been a student of yoga for 8 years. She currently studies Maya Yoga with her teachers Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini. It is the teachings of Maya Yoga that inspire her balanced approach to Vinyasa Yoga. She believes that the alignment of the pose is integral in creating a sustainable asana practice, and it is through a safe and conscious practice that the student is able to heal their body and calm their mind. Her training within the Sivananda organization gave her a great appreciation of the philosophy of yoga, and loves to share those teachings with her students. She strives to inspire students to find peace within themselves by being fully present in the moment, and then going out and sharing that gift with the world.
